Illness Guidelines
The Quills Conference is a hybrid event. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, or you've been exposed to anyone with a respiratory illness, we ask that you attend virtually the day of the conference.
Notice of Filming and Photography
The League of Utah Writers will take photos of attendees throughout the Quills Conference. These photos are for League use only and may appear on the League website, newsletter, conference brochures, social media outlets, or other future League promotional material.
This also includes photos uploaded using the League conference app. By virtue of your in-person attendance, you agree to the usage of your likeness in such media.

Over the last few years, our conference expenses have increased significantly. We remain committed to keeping our educational opportunities as affordable as possible for Utah’s writing community while continuing to serve our members throughout the year.
If the expense of the conference is beyond your means, scholarships are available. Learn more about Quills scholarships here!
Tickets include admission to all classes, workshops, networking opportunities, and keynote addresses by the guests of honor.
Optional add-ons include personalized publishing boot camps, meals, appointments to pitch to literary agents and acquiring editors, headshot photography, and the writing contest awards banquet.
